The book The Bad Beginning , makes you feel like you have to duct tape your fingers to prevent yourself from biting them. I really enjoyed how the book was written, because their are a lot of nail biting parts in the b ook. “ In this book, not only is there no happy ending, there is no happy beginning and very few happy things in the middle.”

There are three Baudelaire children. Violet Baudelaire is the eldest and has a real knack for inventing things. You can tell when she is thinking when her hair is tied up in a ribbon. Klaus Baudelaire is the second eldest. He loves reading books and is unbelievably smart. Lastly, there is Sunny Baudelaire, the youngest. Sunny has a talent of biting things. She bites anything she can get her hands on. All of the Baudelaire children are very smart and intelligent.
The Bad Beginning is a book about how the Baudelaire children encounter a terrible tragedy. They were at the beach when suddenly Mr.Poe, the Baudelaires fortune keeper, comes to tell the kids about the enduring death of their parents. Mr.Poe tells them that they are going to go live with their “cousin” Count Olaf. Count Olaf is a very despicable and sick man who tries to steal the Baudelaire fortune. Count Olaf, soon finding out that the fortune will not be given to Violet until of age, he plans a “fake” wedding that turns out to be very much real.
Even though all these terrible events were happening they NEVER gave up and they always kept their heads up.” I hate everything about our lives right now, Klaus.” she said, “but we have to keep our chin up.” This was an expression the children’s father had used, and it meant “try to stay cheerful.”
